Flag hoisting ceremony marks Myanmar Independence Day

The Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Brunei Darussalam U Htin Lynn addresses the event. –

A FLAG hoisting ceremony was held to commemorate the 71st Independence Day of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar at the Embassy of Myanmar in Rimba, Gadong on 4th January 2019.

The Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Brunei Darussalam U Htin Lynn hoisted the national flag and read the Independence Day message of the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Win Myint.

He praised Myanmar nationals for their professionalism and diligence which earned them recognition by the host country.

He said Myanmar nationals abide by the law of the land and the fine tradition should continue.

He expressed gratitude to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam for granting Myanmar nationals the opportunity to work in Brunei and pledged to continue to work further on cementing bilateral ties between the two countries.
